Together with our partner, FEV Europe GmbH, we are looking for a Lead Data Scientist (m/f/d) - for the locations in Aachen, Munich or Stuttgart.

With over 40 locations on five continents, FEV is the world's largest and independent engineering service provider in the automotive sector - especially in the development of vehicle technology, engines and digital mobility. The company designs and develops powertrains and driving assistance systems for (electric) cars, ships and locomotives.

Aufgaben

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for the planning, conception and implementation of various data science projects in the automotive environment (e.g. in the area of preditve analytics and maintenance, time series analysis or computer vision)
  • You develop prediction models for the optimal control of energy management systems in cars and optimize driving assistance systems with the help of machine learning algorithms
  • As a Tech Lead, you take care of the further development of the entire data science unit, conduct workshops and presentations and act as a coach for your colleagues
  • You coordinate the cooperation between data science, business development and external partners and drive forward the development of new digital business models

Profil

Your profile

  • Several years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Research Engineer or a similiar position
  • Know-how in the development of machine learning algorithms or in artificial intelligence in general
  • Versed in coding with Python and the common frameworks/libraries (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, Scikit learn, Tensorflow, etc.)
  • Experience in agile project management
  • Business mindset and strong communication skills
