Together with the founding team of Axien we are looking for a Lead Data Scientist (m/f/d) located in Prague or 100 % remote. Either with a permanent employment contract or on a freelance basis.

Aufgaben
Your tasks
- You will be responsible for leading the development of a predictive trading model for commodities trading (later for other areas and markets Environmental Markets, Equities and Real Estate, Cryptocurrencies) using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques
- You develop the core functionality of the cloud-based trading platform to implement statistical models and algorithms to analyze large amounts of market data and identify trading opportunities
- You will be responsible for building a small team and providing leadership and mentorship to the junior data scientists and engineers
- You ensure the definition of the scope, requirements and architecture of the trading model together with domain experts, internal teams and external service providers
- In doing so, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing the performance of the trading model using a variety of metrics and performance indicators
Profil
Your profile
- You have a degree in computer science, mathematics or a comparable course of study
- You have several years of practical work experience in the field of data analytics, data science or statistics
- You have good knowledge of the development of mathematical models, a high level of data understanding and the ability to process data
- You have a very good knowledge of Python as well as the handling of SQL/NoSQL databases
- You are interested in the development of AI applications in the field of trading
- You are a strong communicator and helpful, work independently, like to take responsibility and are a team player
