Together with Axien we are looking for a Tech Lead (m/f/d) in Prague or 100% remote. Either with a permanent employment contract or on a freelance basis.
Axien is a newly founded start-up company located in Prague with focus on energy trading. Their vision is to meet the best decisions in buying and selling green energy within the intraday market in the Czech Republic. Therefore they are developing a model, based on data leveraging, mathematical models and AI, which helps to predict the best times to buy and then sell the energy. In the long run Axien wants to expand to other markets and also other commodities. Founders and CEO of the company have 20+ years of successful experiences in Commodities Trading, Environmental markets, Cryptocurrencies, Equities and Real Estate as well as investment banking, finance, sales, marketing and general management.

Aufgaben
Your tasks
- You are responsible for building the predictive trading model, working closely with external experts in the energy industry and implementing the data platform in the company
- You are responsible for building the IT landscape by defining the software architecture and selecting all technologies (backend + frontend) to lay the foundation for a future-proof IT
- You will work closely with Axien's management, influencing the company's decisions and ensuring the company's market positioning
- You will build up the team, be involved in the selection and the management of the new employees
Profil
Your profile
- You have a degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, data science, computer science or comparable studies
- You are experienced in the field of data development/data engineering as well as development of complex mathematical models
- You have several years of experience in programming software as well as in implementing modern software architecture concepts
- You have great communication skills in English, work independently and like to take on responsibility
