We are looking for an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect (m/f/f) who combines deep architectural expertise with a genuine passion for purpose-driven work.
You will operate at the center of an ongoing digital transformation – establishing, designing, and governing the future-state enterprise-wide architecture to support core systems, global collaboration, and long-term data, analytics, and technology strategies.
Working in a multinational, mission-driven environment, you will provide leadership and influence both strategic and operational decisions while future-proofing the technology landscape. A key aspect of the role will be ensuring that emerging technology shifts, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, are effectively leveraged.

Your tasks
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Shape the EAM Practice: Design, implement, and continuously evolve our Enterprise Architecture practice, including governance frameworks, KPIs, committee structures, and reporting lines to technology leadership.
- Be a Trusted Advisor: Act as a strategic partner to senior management, guiding high-impact decisions on architectural, digital, and technology strategies.
- Roadmap the Future: Develop and maintain a forward-looking enterprise architecture roadmap fully aligned with our corporate and IT goals.
Architectural Excellence & Standards
- Define the Blueprint: Establish and maintain enterprise-wide principles, guidelines, and standards across all layers (Business, Application, Data, and Infrastructure).
- Own the Ecosystem: Manage and validate architecture blueprints, EAM tooling, modeling, and integration/data service standards.
- Reduce Fragmentation: Translate complex business requirements into scalable, cost-effective, and standardized patterns that drive automation, self-service, and reusability.
Innovation & Compliance
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Assess architectural maturity and technical debt across the organization, proactively pitching groundbreaking initiatives to modernize our tech stack.
- Spot Tech Trends: Monitor emerging market trends and identify strategic external partners to evolve our internal and external platforms.
- Ensure Alignment: Represent the architecture function in cross-functional steering committees and ensure compliance across internal product, engineering, analytics teams, and external vendors.
Profil
Your profile
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Architecture, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role (e.g., Chief Architect, Principal Architect, or Lead Architect).
EAM Expertise: Deep knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Management frameworks (e.g., TOGAF certification is highly desirable) and modern data architecture principles.
Mindset: A holistic, curious, and big-picture understanding of how business, applications, data, and infrastructure connect.
The Agile Way: Proven track record of leading complex IT initiatives, ideally within agile or scaled-agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum@Scale, LeSS).
Communication & Influence: The rare ability to simplify massive complexity and articulate architectural concepts clearly to both technical teams and C-level executives.
Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken). German is not required.
Education: A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
